“It helps to support the idea that what we’re doing out here is a disciplined work that is worthy of academic education,” said Barbara James, an Ontario investor with 10-years of on-the-job training. “I do think it will also help to elevate the professionalism of the industry worldwide in allowing for web learning.”
The Swiss-based Homburg Academy, which approved the online degree this month, may have the same global scale in mind.
It is now readying to offer two Bachelor of Science Programs this September, with one focused on real estate development and the other, finance and investment.
"The curriculum ensures that students integrate the courses in a real interdisciplinary experience, which mirrors the reality that real estate developers and investors face every day,” says the school’s academic board chair, Tom Geurts. “These programs enable students to integrate courses as diverse as architecture and design, construction and project management, business, finance, law, and marketing, with a range of interesting electives."
The curriculum has, in fact, been under development for over two years, with 70 real estate instructors in 13 countries set to use on-demand video lectures and interactive social media learning to reach students also spread across the globe.
"Learning is a social activity," says Geurts, "and these programs will use online technology in a supportive framework."

Hi it's interesting, however; where does one had acquired BSBM from university of Pheonix fit into your program?

How will you assess the students entering the program? Will there be exams? How many units are required to finish the Bachelors Degree? If a student got a University Degree and wants to enroll for the Bachelors Degree in Real Estate, how would you evaluate him/her? What institution will award the degree?
