Chinese buyers look at Canada’s most active markets as bedrocks of long-term stability that make them safe investments, according to a Maclean’s analyst

I'd say the headline should be "Canadian real estate attracts Chinese money" since not every Chinese investor lives here. What I'm getting when I look at foreign buyers and real estate is that Canada is a safe place to "park" their money without worrying that the Chinese government will tax it away or that it will lose its value tomorrow. I'm pretty sure that a house purchased for $1 M today is going to be worth $1 M tomorrow and probably more next week.

Also it's safe from being taxed by the local government since we tax income and not real estate.
