BMO recognized for gender equality

BMO has been included among a list of only 52 firms globally in the Bloomberg Financial Services Gender-Equality Index.

The lender was recognized for measures including the foundation of its Women in Leadership Fund and its policy of ensuring that at least a third of its independent directors are women; currently it beats that target with a 36.4 per cent share.

Mortgage professionals working with BMO are also able to access the bank’s “Learn from Difference” program which focuses on acknowledging and accepting that we all have biases and encouraging employees to speak up and take action to minimize the impact of those biases when they are most likely to occur.
