have voted in favour of changes to zoning regulations which will allow small retail outlets and restaurants to be built in residential areas within the urban core.
If the proposed bylaw amendments are approved by the council then 315 residential units will be allowed to have commercial uses.
Restrictions mean that the units must be on the ground floor and no more than 100 square metres. They cannot offer parking but may have small outdoor seating areas.
