are taking waterside living to extreme levels with a house floating on the lake.
The Huffington Post
reports on The Toronto Float Homes at Bluffers Park Marina, which are described as neither houseboats nor boat houses. They are homes built on a floating concrete barge.
The unique homes rarely come up for sale; there are just 25 of them and further development of this kind is no longer allowed by the city.
Their scarcity has also had an upward effect on prices and a typical floating home will cost around $450,000 today.
