Lighter Side: Canada’s priciest vacation property

It could be Canada’s most expensive vacation property – if it sells for asking – but this Whistler home is unlikely to cash flow as an investment.

Listed for $22 million, the 9,800 square foot, 10-bedroom luxury home is one of 10 properties in the popular B.C. resort town that is priced higher than $10 million.

It’s significantly more expensive than the previous highest priced recreation property, an 11-bedroom home that was listed at $13.5 million.

The real estate agent who is selling the property said he already has interest from buyers in Singapore, Germany and mainland China.

Some of the standout features of the property include a chef’s kitchen, bespoke furniture and a yoga studio, but with unobstructed views of Whistler-Blackcomb, it’s the location that will sell the property, according to one Whistler real estate agent.
