A commercial building in Alberta could be getting a new owner for just a few hundred dollars.
Two Glendon business owners Julie and Shane Kissel, have outgrown their 9,000 sq.ft. commercial building on 1.5 acres right in the heart of Alberta's Lakeland Region.
So rather than sell it on the open market, they are giving others the chance to own it with a contest called Dream Big Canada.
"We launched AgZone 11 years ago, and since then, we've experienced so much growth, we've outgrown our building," said Julie Kissel, AgZone co-owner. "This opportunity is our way of paying the dream forward because we couldn't have achieved our success without the support of our incredible community. The Village of Glendon can't wait to receive and support Canada's next big dreamer."
Anyone with a business idea can submit it for a chance to buy the property for a nominal $1 – although there is a $250 fee for entering.
But if their business is chosen by a judging panel, they will pay $1 to own the building at 5310 Pyrogy Dr N, Glendon, AB T0A 1P0.
