Sonja Trauss is president of the San Francisco Bay Area Renters’ Federation and she will speak at the Real Estate Development Talks, which is sponsored by developer Wesgroup.
“My philosophy is that people should use their existing land to increase density. As far as renters are concerned, there’s no such thing as building too many units,” she told the Vancouver Sun.
Her no-nonsense opinions include the view that saving a few trees should not be ranked above creating new homes and she says people should be using their land to increase density.
Trauss wants to see red tape cut and urges people to tell their local decision makers how they feel about the restrictions and delays that are preventing increased affordable homes.
