“At some point in time they’re going to run out of their own money and their own credit and in order to keep building their investment business and portfolio, and they’re going to need to start pulling in joint venture partners,” says Shelley Hagen, who started her real estate investing company in 2001 and invests throughout Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and the United States, specifically in Phoenix.
Hagen will discuss joint venture as a financing option at this year’s Calgary Investor Forum, on September 8. She’ll also share with delegates the ins and outs of finding, pitching and signing joint venture partnerships, offering practical information on getting started in JVs based on her years of investing.
Hagen, who is a founding member of the Real Estate Investing Club, is an experienced speaker and trainer in how to invest in real estate.
She described the forum as a place for investors to learn, network and find opportunities.
“It’s a great opportunity for an investor to come for three reasons,” she said. “First and foremost to educate themselves. Secondly, to network – the more people they know, the more deals they’re going to do and the more money they’re going to make. Finally it’s a place to meet other investors, whether it’s private lenders or joint venture.”
Don’t forget, the 20% early bird pricing promotion for the Calgary Investor Forum ends this Friday July 27th. Visit http://calgary.theinvestorforum.ca/ to register today and get the opportunity to hear from all of our expert speakers in Western Canada.
