Real estate investment fraud charges slapped on Mississauga local

Charges filed against suspect after 30 months of investigation.
Authorities with the Nottawasaga OPP have levelled charges against 49-year-old Mississauga local Edmond Teelucksingh.
The charges include one count of fraud over $5,000. The allegations stemmed from the complaint of an unnamed Nottawasaga resident who said that Teelucksingh defrauded him of his $50,000 investment in 2010, in what he had been told was a real estate venture.
Police released a photograph of the suspect after over two year of investigation that started on May 2013. Authorities warned that Teelucksingh might have precipitated more real estate investment and mortgage scams.
Potential targets or those who have knowledge of the suspect’s whereabouts are encouraged to get in touch with the Nottawasaga OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
