Zillow launched “Rent Zestimates” this week, which the real estate marketplace company said could be used as a starting point in determining a typical rent for individual properties.
“We created Rent Zestimates to empower people with information and data to make the right real estate decision for them,” said Zillow CEO Spencer Rascoff.
Zillow.com has about 300,000 apartments and homes listed for rent in the U.S., although it has rental estimates on all 90 million homes it lists, even if they are not on the market. The estimated rents are now displayed on individual home listings.
