A Quebec-based real estate agent has earned the Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) designation.

Marc Smadja of Groupe Sutton – Centre Quest Inc. in Westmount becomes one of just 3,500 real estate professionals across more than 45 countries to receive the designation, putting him among the elite.

The award was made by the National Association of REALTORS® and is recognized by the Canadian Real Estate Association, for completing rigorous coursework in learning international real estate practices and demonstrating proficiency in international business.

It means he has advanced expertise to assist international buyers, including Canadian residents looking to invest overseas and foreign buyers purchasing in Canada.
