Point2Homes posts another record month for site traffic

Home search portal Point2Homes has seen its website traffic grow to another new high.

The site recorded more than 9.3 million visits last month, reflecting the strong demand for homes across Canadian markets. Visits to the site were up 53% year-over-year.

Canadian users made up 60% of the traffic with Toronto continuing to be the most popular search (more than 733,000 visits) followed by Ottawa, and Calgary.

There were gains for searches for homes in Montreal with a 74% surge year-over-year. The annual gains for Toronto (72%) and Vancouver (53%) were also strong.

Outside Canada, visits from the US logged a 76% jump with users in New York City accounting for the bulk of the traffic. Additionally, Atlanta, GA, saw an 83% increase in visits, followed by Dallas (65%), and Chicago (61%).

Social media performed well for the site and the agents listed on it with a 95% increase year-over-year and the Point2Homes social media community grew to more than 62,000 members.

The portal generated 28% more leads for real estate agents compared to the same month a year ago.
